But, after we got back to the present time, and met Iona and all the rest of the gang, I just kept feeling that I'd read it all before in several of her other trilogies, and this was just more like a re-read.

Her characters, though they may fight and argue, make mistakes and hurt each other, always end up finding each other in the end. I love relationship-driven novels, but this one could have moved more, and/or included some more adventure.
